Indictment Filed Against Gnanasara Thero

An indictment has been filed against Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena, before the Colombo High Court.

The charges relate to statements allegedly made by him that are deemed defamatory towards the Islamic religion.

Following the filing of the indictment, the court ordered that he be released on bail.
