Court Orders Arrest of Former SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (07) ordered the arrest and production before court of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena, who is currently out on bail.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption had requested the court to revoke Chandrasena’s bail in connection with allegations that bribes were accepted during the purchase of Airbus aircraft for SriLankan Airlines.

After considering the request, Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the order.
