Case Against Namal Rajapaksa Postponed to May 29

The Colombo High Court has postponed the case filed against MP Namal Rajapaksa over alleged financial dealings with an Indian company, until May 29.
The case was taken up today (23) before High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Swarnadurgoda, with the defendant present in court.
Accordingly, the judge ordered that further proceedings be adjourned to the new date.
The case was filed by the Attorney General, alleging that Rajapaksa received Rs. 70 million from an Indian firm under the pretext of promoting rugby in Sri Lanka and subsequently misused the funds.
