Pakistan High Commissioner Meets Sri Lankan Prime Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retired) Nayyir Naseer, met with Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya yesterday (30) at Temple Trees.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed her gratitude for the continued support and assistance extended by the Government of Pakistan to Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the ‘Ditwah’ cyclone.
Both parties recalled the long-standing and cordial relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which are built on mutual respect, friendship, and shared aspirations.
Attention was also drawn to the importance of further strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as education, tourism, and sports. The meeting primarily focused on reaffirming Sri Lanka’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, promoting people-to-people connections, and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
