Comprehensive Reforms Needed in Sri Lanka Cricket – Eran Wickramaratne

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Reform Committee, Eran Wickramaratne, has emphasized the need for a transformative overhaul of the country’s cricket system.

Speaking to the media after assuming office, he stated that the very name “Reform Committee” reflects the intention to bring about meaningful change.

He stressed that reforms must take place at all levels—starting from the constitution and governance of Sri Lanka Cricket down to grassroots development.

Wickramaratne noted that it is too early to discuss short-term and long-term plans, adding that the first step is to listen carefully to the views of all stakeholders.

He further stated that the committee will initially assess the current situation and engage in discussions with management and external parties before formulating a comprehensive long-term strategy.
