Liquor Shops in Kegalle District to Close for Three Days

Authorities have decided to temporarily close liquor outlets, meat shops, and fish stalls along key roadside areas in Kegalle District during the “Ehi Passiko Peace Walk.”
The restriction will be in effect from April 24 to April 26, covering a three-day period.
The order applies specifically to establishments located along the main road stretch from Kadugannawa to Warakapola.
The decision was taken at a District Coordination Committee meeting held at the Kegalle District Secretariat yesterday (22), under the leadership of Dammika Patabendi, Minister of Environment and Co-Chair of the committee.
Sabaragamuwa Province Governor Champa Janaki Rajaratne and several key officials were also present at the meeting.
