The Department of Meteorology forecasts that showers or thundershowers may occur at several places after 1:00 PM in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa, Galle, and Matara districts.

Morning showers are also likely in the Southern Province and in coastal areas of the Kalutara and Colombo districts.

Misty conditions can be expected in some areas during the early morning in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara and Polonnaruwa districts.

The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. ⚠️
