All of them are reported to be Vietnamese nationals.<\/p>\n<p>The arrests were made yesterday evening (06) during a raid conducted by officers attached to the Kollupitiya Police Station at a housing complex located on Uttarananda Mawatha in Kollupitiya.<\/p>\n<p>Police stated that the suspects are between 19 and 39 years of age and are believed to have been involved in various financial scam operations while residing illegally in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another five foreign male suspects and one female suspect were also arrested by officers attached to the Matara Criminal Investigation Division in connection with similar activities.<\/p>\n<p>Further investigations into the incident are currently being carried out by the Kollupitiya Police and criminal investigation authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A group of foreign nationals suspected of engaging in financial fraud while overstaying in Sri Lanka in violation of visa regulations has been arrested by the police.
