Around 10,000 farming families from the Seruwila, Verugal, and Muttur Divisional Secretariat areas rely on the Mavil Aru reservoir for their agricultural activities.<\/p>\n<p>However, due to the recent flooding caused by the Ditwa weather system, the reservoir and its dam structure were severely damaged.
