Former MP Eran Wickramaratne has announced that he accepted the chairmanship of the Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee following an invitation from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Minister of Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Wickramaratne said he decided to take on the role effective from yesterday (29) after extensive discussions with former cricketers and team leaders. He emphasized that the committee\u2019s \u201csole and sincere intention\u201d is to restore the pride and performance standards of Sri Lankan cricket.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is an honour for me to lead a committee of nine individuals of integrity and experience,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The nine-member committee includes prominent figures such as Roshan Mahanama, Kumar Sangakkara, Thushira Radella, Sidath Wettimuny, Avanthi Colombage, Prakash Schaffter, Upul Kumarapperuma, and Dinal Philips, representing expertise in cricket, administration, and law.<\/p>\n
Wickramaratne outlined two key pillars of the reform agenda:<\/p>\n
1. Establishing Strong Governance:<\/strong> 2.
