A woman involved in large-scale drug trafficking has been arrested by the Police Special Task Force Sri Lanka along with a stock of Kerala cannabis.<\/p>\n
The arrest was made during a raid carried out by officers of the Special Operations Unit attached to the STF headquarters in Horana. The operation took place at a house located in the Kudawaskaduwa area, within the jurisdiction of the Kalutara North Police.<\/p>\n
According to initial investigations, the 44-year-old suspect, a resident of Waskaduwa, is believed to be a member of a trafficking network led by an individual known as Pombuwala Navin. She is also alleged to have been distributing drugs on behalf of another trafficker, Kathanarachchige Nuwan Iresh Fernando.<\/p>\n
The suspect, reportedly known by the alias \u201cPatti Akka,\u201d was found in possession of approximately 2 kilograms and 750 grams of Kerala cannabis, along with Rs. 110,000 in cash and an electronic weighing scale, all of which were seized by the authorities.<\/p>\n
