During the first three days (June 15\u201317), cleaning activities will focus on urban areas, blocked drainage systems, commercial premises, places of worship, bus terminals, and other public locations.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>18 June<\/strong>, cleaning programmes will be conducted at schools, preschools, and private tuition centres across the country. Meanwhile, <strong>19 June<\/strong> has been designated for cleaning government institutions, private sector workplaces, and factory premises.<\/p>\n<p>On the final day, <strong>20 June<\/strong>, special cleanup activities will be carried out in residential areas and surrounding environments to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.<\/p>\n<p>Health authorities have urged the public to actively participate in the campaign and support efforts to destroy dengue mosquito breeding grounds, emphasizing that community involvement is essential in preventing the spread of dengue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A nationwide National Dengue Control Week has commenced today (15 June) in response to the growing threat posed by dengue fever in Sri Lanka.
