A 41-year-old mother of four from the Kodigamuwa Muslim village in the Bibile area has died after suffering severe burn injuries in an incident that police suspect may have been linked to a domestic dispute.<\/p>\n
The victim, identified as Rinosha Umma, had reportedly gone to sleep with her family after dinner on the night of the incident, while the children slept in a separate room. In the early hours of the morning, the children noticed flames coming from their parents\u2019 room. Upon entering, they found their mother on fire.<\/p>\n
Family members and neighbors rushed to extinguish the flames and she was admitted to the Bibile Base Hospital for emergency treatment. However, she later succumbed to her injuries.<\/p>\n
Police suspect that petrol may have been used in the attack and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim\u2019s husband, who is reported to operate a poultry meat business, is suspected of involvement and has allegedly fled the area. Authorities are currently searching for him.<\/p>\n
Investigators believe that an argument between the couple may have preceded the incident, although the exact motive and sequence of events remain under investigation.<\/p>\n
