{"id":1452,"date":"2026-05-18T04:37:26","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T04:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tamilmail.lk\/english\/?p=1452"},"modified":"2026-05-17T17:40:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T17:40:19","slug":"sri-lanka-temporarily-suspends-document-attestation-services-due-to-e-das-system-failure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamilmail.lk\/english\/2026\/05\/18\/sri-lanka-temporarily-suspends-document-attestation-services-due-to-e-das-system-failure\/","title":{"rendered":"Sri Lanka Temporarily Suspends Document Attestation Services Due to e-DAS System Failure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has temporarily suspended all document attestation services until further notice, following an unexpected technical failure in the Electronic Document Attestation System (e-DAS).<\/p>\n<p>The suspension applies to the Consular Affairs Division headquarters in Battaramulla, as well as all Regional Consular Offices (RCOs) located in Jaffna, Trincomalee, Kandy, Matara, and Kurunegala.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry, immediate steps have been taken in coordination with relevant technical service providers and stakeholders to restore the e-DAS system as soon as possible and resume normal services without delay.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants who have already secured online appointments have been advised to regularly check the e-Channeling appointment system for updates and further notifications.
