{"id":111,"date":"2026-04-21T15:22:53","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T15:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tamilmail.lk\/english\/?p=111"},"modified":"2026-04-21T15:22:53","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T15:22:53","slug":"case-against-diana-gamage-postponed-to-may-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamilmail.lk\/english\/2026\/04\/21\/case-against-diana-gamage-postponed-to-may-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Against Diana Gamage Postponed to May 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"54\" data-end=\"235\">The Colombo Magistrate\u2019s Court has ordered that further witness hearings in the case filed against former State Minister <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Diana Gamage<\/span><\/span> be taken up on May 12.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"237\" data-end=\"515\">The case, filed by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Criminal Investigation Department<\/span><\/span> on the advice of the Attorney General, relates to allegations that Gamage provided false information to the Controller of Immigration and Emigration to obtain a passport and remained in Sri Lanka without a valid visa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"664\">The matter was taken up today (21) before Colombo Additional Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama, who issued the order to postpone further proceedings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"666\" data-end=\"857\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">According to the charges, the alleged offences occurred between July 14, 2016, and November 1, 2020.
