After being invited to bat first, Bangladesh recovered strongly from an early collapse through brilliant performances from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh lost openers Mahmudul Hasan Joy (5) and Shadman Islam (13) cheaply, slipping to 31 for 2 early in the innings.<\/p>\n<p>However, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque steadied the innings with a crucial 170-run partnership for the third wicket.
